Global Science and National Policies: the Role of Academies

During May 4-5, 2007 the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM) hosted the Conference of the Academies of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe �Global Science and National Policies: the Role of Academies�. The event was designed to strengthen the interaction between the Academies of the region and their involvement in international science cooperation. It was organized by UNESCO (Venice and Moscow Offices) and the International Council for Science (ICSU). Logistical support was provided by the Moldovan Research and Development Association (MRDA) and the National Commission of RM for UNESCO.
