The Moldovan Research and Development Association (MRDA) and the US Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) organized a two-day Experience Exchange Workshop for young Moldovan scientists and engineers to highlight benefits and results obtained under Moldovan Travel Fellowship Program (MTFP). Former and current MTFP grantees shared their experience with their counterparts on finding US partners, writing successful proposals, working in US institutions and research laboratories, or efficiently handling information resources.

Under this program MRDA and CRDF supported 38 young scientists at a total amount of US$ 490,000.

In establishing partnership relations strong communication skills are crucial for young scientists. A special four-hour training in communication and cultural differences was organized to help scientists improve their communication abilities and better understand their partners' behavior for ensuring long-term collaboration.

MRDA and CRDF used this opportunity to promote other programs and activities to motivate the young generation in pursuing scientific careers in Moldova.
