STEP1 - Basic S&T R&D business collaboration workshop
The Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) is intended to foster the
development of local institutional capacity to encourage science and technology (S&T)
research and development (R&D) business collaboration with local and U.S. industry.
STEP will support local institutions to organize workshops and small conferences.
The objectives of each STEP event will be to provide Former Soviet Union (FSU)
participants with:
- Networking with local service providers, peers, entrepreneurs, and financiers
- Rudimentary training in scientific and technology business skills
- Information on local sources of commercialization expertise
- Information on opportunities available in their local market
- Information on opportunities available through international collaborations
- Information on Industry Programs US industry linkage grants
- Experience in scientific and technology business venture presentations
The business collaboration workshops are forums for S&T R&D entrepreneurs to interact
with local successful entrepreneurs and representatives from the local and international
community who offer resources or potential as partners for initiatives.
