The Moldovan Research and Development Association (MRDA) held a dwo-day Practical Business Training and Agricultural Conference June 9-10, 2005 in Chisinau, Moldova. The session is part of U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation's (CRDF) "Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP)".

Through STEP, CRDF encourages the interaction between scientific and business communities to benefit entrepreneurs and supporters. STEP continues to provide the following benefits to participants from Moldova:

• Networking with local service providers, peers, entrepreneurs, and financiers
• Market engagement opportunities
• Information on local sources of grants, expertise, and business opportunities
• Information and training on Industry Programs US industry linkage grants

The June 9 Practical Business Training and Agriculture Conference provided participants with the opportunity to:

• Interact with successful scientific entrepreneurs
• Engage United States Industry
• Gain basic business skills
