Moldovan Travel Fellowship Program MTFP was designed to provide travel support for young scientists to carry out research projects in the United States. This initiative offered young Moldovan investigators an opportunity to explore their research ideas and work with US hosts who were able to provide access to the facilities of modern, well-equipped US laboratories. Upon return to Moldova young scientists were eligible to apply for follow-on grants to maintain their newly established US collaborations. From the MTFP grants at a total amount of US$ 490,000 benefited 38 young researchers. |
