Bilateral Grants Program

BGP provided grants for joint research projects initiated by Moldovan scientists in collaboration with their US partners.
The three primary goals of the program were to support high quality, innovative research by establishing sustainable US-Moldovan research collaboration, to provide an alternative to emigration for Moldovan scientists, and to fully employ former weapon scientists in civilian research.

Under three BGP competitions MRDA supported 65 research teams at a total of US $ 2,500,000.
